Vesterbro Stools

The Vesterbro stools were designed and built while attending the Demark International Sudy Program’s furniture design course. Given 7 weeks, we were tasked with designing and building a chair or stool out of a single piece of wood measuring 5cm by 20 cm by 120 cm.
Inspired by space invaders and samurai helmets, I decided to to produce a pair of the stools from the single piece of wood instead of just one. Once I decided on making two stools, I tweaked the stools’ design such that the pair would nest when stacked. Upon completion, the stools ended up being super tiny, super strong, and super comfy.
