My Role:

For our final project in Toy Design class, we worked with Fisher Price to design a toy for infants.

Leveraging all of the infant development research that they provided us, I decided to design a musical stuffed animal that would provide a baby with the most play value and sensory stimili without requiring batteries or charging. Thus, Meep the Musical Octopus was born.

Meep is a musical, vibrating, articulating stuffed octopus for 6 to 12 month old infants. In addition to being ridiculously cute, Meep has a windup music box, a pull string vibrating mechanism, musical squeezeboxes, easily poseable arms, and a variety of fabrics. This way, Meep the Musical Octopus stimulates an infant’s sense of touch, sight, and sound.

Fisher Price loved it.
